Philip Ronnie Cochran

Mr. Philip Ronnie Cochran, age 59, of Murrayville, GA (Lumpkin County), died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Philip was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was a truck driver and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2 in Lumpkin County.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Cochran; and sister-in-laws Debbie Cochran and Jackie Cochran.

Philip is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Holly Cochran, Mt. Airy, GA; mother, Shirley Stringer Cochran, Murrayville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Ricky Brackett, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Rhonda Cochran, Murrayville, GA, Stanley Cochran, Murrayville, GA, Tony and Jeannie Cochran, Hoschton, GA, Greg and Julie Cochran, Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Madison and Genesis Cochran; special caregivers, Dianne Bell and Deborah Lowe, Glenda Sue Weaver and the staff of Foothills Personal Care Home in Dahlonega. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Philip are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2 in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Les Fuller, Rev. Lance Fuller, and Rev. Stephen Gerrells will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Philip will lay in state at the church on Thursday from 12:30 PM until 1 PM.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday from 4 PM until 9 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until 12 Noon.
