Cheryl Ann Stevens Dean

Cheryl Ann Stevens Dean, age 53 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, April 01, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend James Kanaday officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.


Ms. Dean was born May 28, 1959 in Gainesville, GA to the late Jackson Bogart Stevens and the late Vera Nell Smith Stevens. She was employed by Forsyth County Family and Children Services as a case worker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a lady of great character whose judgment, humor and friendly spirit brought out the finest in those around her. The influence of her life upon others is a flame that will burn brightly forever. She left so much good with every soul she touched on this earth.


Ms. Dean is survived by her fiancé, Tim Kanaday of Gainesville and her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Darlene Stevens. She was preceded in death by her parents.
