Maren 'Marnie' Dupree Braswell

Mrs. Maren "Marnie" Dupree Braswell, age 67, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013.

She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Richard 'Butch" Braswell, Flowery Branch, GA; children, Tracey and Clif Yancey, Flowery Branch, GA and Heather and James Alexander, Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Sydney Yancey, Grace Yancey and Ashleigh Alexander; sister-in-law, Virginia Eggers, Memphis, TN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Shirley Braswell, Tucker, GA, Dale and Eloise Braswell, Lawrenceville, GA and Sonny and Vicki Braswell, Woodstock, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Braswell was born June 15, 1945 in Birmingham, AL. She was a 1964 graduate of Druid Hill High School in Atlanta, GA. She was an active member of Buford First United Methodist Church where she served on the Board of Trustees, the Finance Committee, the Building Committee and was a member of the Effie Wood Circle of the United Methodist Women. She was an active bowler.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Buford First United Methodist Church with Dr. Sondra R. Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Buford First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O.
