Obituary Date: Monday, April 1, 2013
It was on Wednesday March 20th 2013 that Maire Manga Mboule Alarms was called to the Lord after a protracted illness. Marie Manga Mboule was born in Douala, Cameroon on the blessed day of our lord July 3rd 1958. Her parents, Mr & Mrs Mboule, hailed from Yabassi in the littoral province. She did her elementary, secondary and high school education at Lycee de Jeune Fille and also Alfred Saker. She later attended the University of Yaoundé where she spent just a year before proceeding to the United States Of America. She attended Armstrong University in Savannah, Georgia where she graduated with a degree in radiology technology and at the time of her passing, she was working at Grady memorial hospital where she had been for over 14 years.
Marie was a loving, loyal, caring and beautiful wife, married to her sweetheart of over 25 years, Don Alarms, whom she met four days after her arrival into the U.S.A. She was a loving and devoted mother not just to Eric, Durum and Ada but also to all other kids. She exhibited true community spirit everywhere she went, serving people, helping out at functions, making sure the guests and especially the kids were well taken care of. She touched the lives of many people with her thoughtfulness and generosity, her humor and her fun-loving nature.
Marie as a true Christian was God fearing and God loving and instilled that in her family and those around her. Her faith made her stronger and ready for the known and unknown. She embraced the will of God and became a pillar of strength and comfort to her husband, her kids and those around her.
