Young's Funeral Home announces the death of
Ms. Vickie Loraine Randolph, age 53, of Gainesville, Georgia passed March 24, 2013.
Ms. Randolph was born on November 2, 1959 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Mr. Willie James Randolph and the late Mrs. Betty Sue Randolph. She was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 24, 2013.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Cross Plains Missionary Baptist Church, 3230 Cross Plains Road, Gainesville, Georgia 30507, with remains placed in state at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Larry Devers pastor/officiating, Rev. Billy Adams, eulogist. Interment Alta Vista City Cemetery 521 Jones Street, Gainesville, Georgia 30501. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 520 Chamblee Court, Gainesville, Georgia 30507 at noon. Visitation Friday, March 29, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., wake 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Young's Funeral Home, 1553 Old Athens Road, Gainesville, Georgia 30507.
Vickie grew up in Gainesville, Georgia and was a member of Cross Plains Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Gainesville High School and was a graduate of the class of 1978. Everyone who knew Vickie knew she was a very caring and loving person. She never met any strangers and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Vickie enjoyed cooking, meeting new people and having a good time with family & friends. Her loving smile and sweet spirit will truly be missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Lekeria Lee Harris (Suwanee, GA); sister, Elaine Tanner (Duluth, GA); brothers, Johnny Young (Buffalo, NY), Jimmy (Yolanda) Randolph, Dwight (Lanita) Randolph, Stacey Randolph and David (Kay) Harper (all of Gainesville, GA). aunts, Mary Jo Young (Gainesville, GA), Ruth Jarrells (Flowery Branch, GA), Mary Broadneaux (Flowery Branch, GA); uncles, Robert (Malinda) Young (Gainesville, GA), King (Estelle) Stringer (Jefferson, GA) and Jed (Donna) Stringer (Flowery Branch, GA). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special brother-in-law Billy Ray Tanner and a special friend Robert Culmer Jr.
