James Oscar Wallace Sr.

James Oscar Wallace Sr., age 95, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away
on Friday, March 22, 2013.

Mr. Wallace was born in Conecuh County, Alabama on January 28, 1918;
he was the son of the late Willie Draper and Minnie Wilson Wallace.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 67
years, Alma Weekley Wallace; brothers, Julian Jay Wallace, William
Draper Wallace, Jr. and David Dempsey Wallace; and sisters, Bunny
Wallace Dupuis and Minnie "Sue" Wallace Pressley. Mr. Wallace was a
veteran who proudly served in World War II. He was a retired Conductor
with L & N Railroad.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Jim Knight,
McCalla, AL; sons and daughters-in-law, James, Jr. and Joann Wallace,
Marietta, GA, John and Nancy Wallace, Clarkesville, GA, Ric, Sr. and
Kay Wallace, Saratoga, Wyoming and Steven and Kelli Wallace,
Lawrenceville, GA; brother, Billy Robert Wallace, Montgomery AL; 14
grandchildren and their spouses, Denise Rolfe, James Wallace III, John
Wallace, Jr., Bill and Hilda Wallace, Sallie and Ed Lawrence, Daphne
Wallace, Amy Knight, Ric Jr. and Melinda Wallace, Mandy and Johnathan
Wallin, Jay and Lane Wallace, Robert Wallace, Perry and Christopher
Poole, Quentin Wallace, and Aidan Wallace; 14 great-grandchildren, six
great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled at 1 pm on Monday, March 25, 2013, at
Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Tim
Burpee officiating. Entombment will follow in the Yonah Memorial
Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until funeral hour on
Monday, March 25, 2013 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel,
Demorest, Georgia.
