Harold Carder

Harold Carder, age 83, of Gainesville, Ga. passed away Thursday March 21, 2013.

Mr. Carder was born in Suches, GA, and had lived most of his life in Hall County. He had been a machinist and welder, and was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church 2 (The Hill) in Suches.

He was the son of the late Roy and Della Grizzle Carder, and was also preceded in death by his infant son, Jeffery Carder.

Harold is survived by his wife, Nancy June Carder; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Milton Chumbler, Murrayville, GA; daughter, Sandra Burns, Flowery Branch, GA; brother, Hershel Carder, Winder, GA; sister, Inez Fortenberry, Marietta, GA; grandsons and spouses, Steven and Joyce Wiley, Jamey and Tina Chumbler, Joe Chumbler, and Dustin Burns; and granddaughter, Bridget Burns. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Harold are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, March 24 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Larry Truelove will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church #2 Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 2 PM until 6 PM Saturday, March 23.
