Willis C. Robinson

Mr. Willis C. Robinson was born July 4, 1918 to the late Major and Paralee Williams Robinson of Buford, Georgia. On March 20, 2013 at the golden age of 94, our beloved Willis Robinson peacefully departed this life at his home

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013, 1:00 pm at Union Baptist Church, 251 Bona Road N.E., Buford, Georgia with remains placed in state at 11:00 am. Rev. Dr. Kerry Harris pastor/officiating. Interment at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 200 Alexander Street Buford, Georgia. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 830 Forrest Street Apt. D Buford, Georgia at noon.

Visitation is Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from noon until 5 p.m. at Young's Funeral Home. Wake will be held at Union Baptist Church from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

He was a World War II veteran and retired from Foote and Davies, Inc. and Buford City Schools. As a member of Union Baptist Church, he served on the Usher and Deacon Boards for many years and also served as Chaplain of American Legion Post 534.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Robinson of 57 years, daughter, Camille Hosch; brothers, Charles and Johnny Robinson and Emmett Smith; sister, Lula F. Smith Hanks and grandson, Larry Patillo, Jr.

Deacon Robinson is survived by his daughter, Paralee Patillo of Buford, Ga; two sons, Kenneth Robinson (Deana) of Buford, GA and Willis S. Robinson (Grace) of Kansas City, MO; 14 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
