Mildred Currier Bentley

Miss Mildred Currier Bentley, age 96 of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center.

Born October 03, 1916 in Franklin, NC, she was the daughter of the late Mabin R. and Marietta Currier Bentley. Miss Bentley was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was pianist for the Men's Sunday School Class. She was retired as executive secretary with Ethicon with 37 years of service.

In addition to her parents, Miss Bentley was also preceded in death by her brothers, Mabin R. Bentley, Jr. and Newell Grant Bentley, Sr. and sister-in-law, Lillie Carter Bentley.

Survivors include nephew and wife, Newell Grant, Jr. and Tammye Bentley of Cornelia; niece and husband, Rebecca Elise and Yves Limpalair of Greer, SC; niece, Donna Bouwsma of Athens and sister-in-law, Miriam Bentley of Cornelia.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Cornelia United Methodist Church with Dr. Jay Hughes officiating. All friends and family are requested to meet at the church by 1:45 pm on Sunday.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of Cornelia UMC.
