Michael Garrett Welch

Mr. Michael Garrett Welch , age 56 of Dahlonega, Ga. passed away Tuesday March 12, 2013.

He had lived in Lumpkin County since 1980 after moving here from Harland, Kentucky.

Michael was the son of the late Billy Carl Welch and Della Bray Welch. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Welch; and a brother, Ricky Welch.

Michael is survived by sons, Ricky Joe Welch and Michael Garrett Welch, Jr., both of Kentucky; brother, Joel Steven Welch; brother and sister-in-law, Billy N. and Jeanette Welch of Dahlonega, Ga.; sisters, Leona Welch and Serena Blackwell, both of Dahlonega; and sister and brother-in-law Janet and Charlie Abercrombie of Dahlonega, Ga. Six grandchildren and numerous other relatives also survive.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday March 22, 2013 at Bethel Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dahlonega, Ga.
