Elder Marvin Loudermilk

Elder Marvin Loudermilk, age 76, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed on Sunday, March 10, 2013.



Elder Loudermilk was born on July 26, 1936, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late Ben L. and Flornett Pless Loudermilk. He was a retired employee of Mt. Vernon Mills with 16 years of service. Elder Loudermilk labored in the ministry from 1960 until death. He was a member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church and was pastor there from 1991 to 2012.



Survivors include his beloved wife, Faye Murphy Loudermilk, Mt. Airy, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Vince Scafiti, Tiger, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Betty Loudermilk, Mt. Airy, GA, Ronnie and Jennifer Loudermilk, Lula, GA, and David and Sandy Loudermilk, Mt. Airy, GA; sisters, Virginia Riggins, Mt. Airy, GA, Annie Sellers, Mt. Airy, GA, Shirley Potts, Cornelia, GA, and Linda Hren, Roswell, GA; brothers, Lewis Loudermilk and Fermon Loudermilk, both of Mt. Airy, GA; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Faith Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Charles Chapman and Elder Kerry Lathrop officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
