Ella Yvonne Patton

Ella Yvonne Patton, 85, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA.

She was a life long resident of Dahlonega and was one of the oldest members of Dahlonega Baptist Church. She had a green thumb and loved to garden. She was very active in the Woman's Circle at church and loved taking care of the elderly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Susie Thompson; husband, Bill Patton; sisters, Billie Woodall and Marion Hogwood; brothers, Ollie Thompson and David Thompson.

She is survived by her children, Trudi Johnston of Dahlonega, GA, Rick and Sonya Patton of Dahlonega, GA, Bogy Patton of Dahlonega, GA; brother, George and Peggy Thompson of Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Leila Sosebee of Dahlonega, GA and Ann Phillips of Dahlonega, GA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Dahlonega Baptist Church with the Reverends, Bill Hutcheson and Lyman Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Dahlonega Baptist Church TEL Sunday School Class in her memory.
