Alesia (Lisa) Blanton

Alesia "Lisa" Blanton, 52, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday March 6, 2013 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a sudden illness.

Born November 20, 1960, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, Lisa was formerly employed at the Dawsonville Pool Room and was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, James Kent, and an infant sister, Shirley Jean Kent.

Surviving are her daughter, Melanie Blanton, and her fiancé, Richie Ledesma; grandson, Sawyer Ledesma; mother, Louise Kent; sisters and brothers in law, Lucille and Everett Evans, Sybil and Terry Thurmond, Mary Ellen Kent, Pan Smith and Terry Turner; brothers and sisters in law, Joe and Ruth Kent, Larry and Peggy Kent; special niece, Aly Thurmond, all of Dawsonville, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 9, 2013 at 3 o'clock at Sweetwater Baptist Church. Rev. Rodney Pilcher and Rev. Mark Flowers will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday after 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
