Marion Frances Brown Howard

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Marion Frances Brown Howard, 84, of Decatur, Ga., who passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013.

Mrs. Howard was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late Marion N. and Annie Bell Stepp Brown. Mrs. Howard was a graduate of the University of Georgia in 1949. Mrs. Howard retired from the DeKalb County Board of Education after her teaching career of 33 years. Mrs. Howard was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church in Decatur, Ga. and a member of the Airstream Club.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lee Howard, her brothers, Enoch Brown and Tubby Brown, and her sisters Polly Wood and Wineva Williams. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Zoe Howard and two grandsons Forrest and Garrett Howard.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1 pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Howard Cemetery in Jefferson, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home on Staurday March 9, 2013 from noon to 1 pm.
