Ann Cantrell Rainwater

Mrs. Ann Cantrell Rainwater, age 76, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed way Saturday, March 2, 2013 after an extended illness.

Ann was born November 3, 1936 in Helen, Georgia to the late Will and Leila Garrett Cantrell, but lived most of her life in Lumpkin County.

She was a Charter Member of Friendship Baptist Church and was employed for many years by Dr. J.G. Woodward and by Dr. Richard Wherry.

Mrs. Rainwater was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Lauren Ashley Rainwater, her parents, and brother, Charles Cantrell.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Cindy Rainwater, Clermont, Ga.; daughters, Gina Eaton and Luan Rainwater, Dahlonega, Ga.; grandchildren, Kristin Rainwater, Tyler Rainwater, Justin Hunt, Clermont, Ga. and Garrett Eaton, Dahlonega, Ga.; brother, James Cantrell, brother and sister-in-law, Cammie and Pat Cantrell; sisters, Gertrude Avery and Billie Cantrell, all of Dahlonega, Ga. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive. Special caregivers, Regina Barnes, Sandra Roberts, Kathy Dunlap, Rachel Outz and United Hospice.

Funeral services for Ann will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, 2:00 PM, Monday, March 4, 2013.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Stacy Avery will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega, GA.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 3PM until 9PM on Sunday, March 3 and from 10AM until 1PM on Monday, March 4.
