Mrs. Lorene B. Tatum, age 86, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Tatum; daughter, Shirley Virginia Bailey; and parents, Alvoyad Irving and Emma Morgan Browder.
She is survived by her children, Harry and Sharon Williams, Cleveland, TN, Rick and Maryanne Williams, Lookout Mountain, GA, Laverne and Buddy Roebuck, Buford, GA, Rev. Joseph and Frances Tatum, Donaldsonville, GA, Rev. Harold and Pat Tatum, Minneola, FL and Johnny and Shelly Tatum, Lexington, GA. sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; son-in-law, Kenneth and Debbie Bailey, Buford, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Eloise and Stanford Lee, Buford, GA and Lillian Browder Wheelus, Tampa, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Alvoyad and Frances Browder, Valrico, FL and Nathan and Carolyn Browder, Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Walter Puckett, Buford, GA and Barbara Tatum Kozell, Buford, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cleo and Joann Tatum, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Tatum was born August 25, 1926 in Tampa, FL. She was retired from Georgia Boot Company in Flowery Branch, GA. She was an active member of Regency Church of God where she played piano along with many others jobs. She was also known as the "Tea Lady".
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Tatum, Rev. Jeff Roebuck, Pastor Terry Reece, and Rev. Lamar Hansard officiating. Interment and Graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford, GA with Rev. Joe Tatum officiating.
Flowers accepted or memorial donations may be made to Regency Church of God, 1132 Buford Highway, Sugar Hill, GA 30518 in memory of Lorene Tatum.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m.
