Mildred Kate Peck

Mrs. Mildred Kate Peck age 80 of Oakwood passed away on Thursday February 28, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday March 03, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Scott Crook and Reverend Dave Channell will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday March 02, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mrs. Peck was born on January 27, 1933 in Hall County, Ga to the late Robert and Lou Shelton Smith. Mildred was a loving wife of 58 years, as well as a loving mother and grandmother. Loved by all who knew her, she was and will be dearly missed. She graduated from Oakwood High School and was a homemaker, and a faithful member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. Mrs. Peck is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, A.C. Smith, Ed Smith, George Smith, Alton Smith, and her sisters, Mattie Lou Kelley and Irene Roberts.


Mrs. Peck is survived by her husband, John Peck of Oakwood, daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Jimmy Beavers of Flowery Branch, her three wonderful Grandchildren, Zachary, Katie and Jonathan Beavers of Flowery Branch.
