Marjorie F. Campbell

Marjorie F. Campbell, age 87 of Clarkesville, passed away Friday, February 28, 2013, at her residence.

Born in Atmore Alabama, on August 08, 1925 she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Thelma Myrtis Ward Forte. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she taught Senior Adult Sunday School Class and was active in mission work throughout Romania. She was a homemaker who also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Campbell was also preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Campbell, Jr.; a son, Jimmy Campbell, also an infant son; a sister, Dorothy Ann Forte Smith; two brothers, Thomas Espin Forte and Don Allen Forte.

Survivors include daughter, Marjorie Claire Campbell of Clarkesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Cyndy Campbell of Mt. Airy, GA; grandson, Thomas Allen Campbell, Jr. of Gainesville, GA; sister, Jerrye Forte Sumrall of Mobile, AL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services are 11:00 am Saturday, March 09, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Don Campbell and Rev. Tommy Stowe officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkesville, where Mrs. Campbell and her husband, James Robert Campbell will be interred together.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 am until the service hour on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a mission of your choice in memory of Marjorie F. Campbell.
