Rev. Noah Smith, age 69, of Jefferson, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Lula Mae Smith; daughters, Robin Holland and Terri Matthews; and grandsons, Grant Tolbert and Jesse Tolbert. He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Pam Reed Smith, Jefferson, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Pamela Smith, Cleveland, GA and Hunter Hayes, Jefferson, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Jerry Tolbert Buford, GA and Holly and Wesley Martin, Jefferson, GA; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Mardell Smith Hogan, Flowery Branch, GA and Joan Smith, Flowery Branch, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Johnny Smith, Buford, GA and Franklin and Jane Smith, Danielsville, GA; sister-in-law, Kathy Brooksher, Dahlonega, GA; mother-in-law, Frances Johnson, Dahlonega, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony and Brenda Reed, Sugar Hill, GA; aunts and uncles, Eula Jean Shadburn, Flowery Branch, GA, Betty and Jesse Satterfield, Buford, GA, Louise and John Hutchins, Buford, GA, Mary and Leroy Pruitt, Buford, GA and Mildred Reed, Sugar Hill, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rev. Smith was born October 3, 1943 in Buford, GA. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after thirty years of service. He was of the Baptist Faith and he pastored several Baptist Churches. A Homegoing Service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Pilcher, Rev. Bill Trotter and Rev. Charles Shadburn officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Flanigan Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses in memory of Rev.
