Drew was born and grew up in Gainesville, Georgia. He was married in 1990, and settled his family here. He attended Emory University at Oxford followed by the University of Georgia where he graduated with a degree in Economics. A graduate of Gainesville High School, he always enjoyed Red Elephant football. He played on the 1981 State Semi Final AAA team as offensive left tackle #77. Always active in school and church, a few of his activities included Boy Scouts, Young Life, Key Club President and Student Government.
Throughout his adult life, Drew was always concerned with the wellbeing of his wife and children. His professional life was a source of necessity and pride. A hard worker, who navigated through storms and tried to hold himself to a standard we became accustomed. At the time of his death, he had been president of ECOM America for 15 years taking it to a level of performance characterized by the determination that Drew embodied. He enjoyed being outdoors. Golfing, boating and fishing on the coast of Georgia were a few of the regular activities we did together as a family. He was a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years and children, Dana Rowe, Emmeline (21), Dickens (18) and Rowe (10) Wilson. Drew is home with his heavenly father. He will be sorely missed and always loved by all who had the good fortune to know him. Rest in Peace my Love.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday February 28, 2013 at the Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Dr. Terry Walton and Rev. Kathy Lamon will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday February 26, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Gainesville First United Methodist Church 2780 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville, Ga. 30506.
