Headly Haeden Autry, Sr

Headly Haeden Autry, Sr., age 85 of Oakwood, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Halcyon Hospice following an extended illness.


Memorial services will be held at a later time.


Mr. Autry was born September 11, 1927 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late Dewey Autry and Naomi Haeden Autry. Mr. Autry was retired from Dundee Mills and was a member of Main Street Gospel Church. Headly was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Edward & Harold Autry and his sister, Beatrice Clark.


Mr. Autry is survived by his wife, Thelma Ann Autry of Oakwood, sons, Buster Autry of Lula, Johnny Autry of Indiana and Barry Autry of Cornelia, daughters, Ann Stott of Clarkesville, Cathy Carpenter of Cleveland, Jane Prater of Commerce and Karen Hope of Gainesville, 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, step-daughters, Tracy Goss of Gainesville and Kim Gaddis of Flowery Branch, step-son, Rusty Reed of Oakwood, brother, Johnny Autry of Cleveland, sisters, Dewlyn Nations of Demorest and Oma Jane of Gainesville and numerous nieces & nephews.
