Randy Keith Evans

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Randy Keith Evans, age 53, of Jefferson, who passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Mr. Evans was born in Athens, GA, a son to the late Connie Lee Evans and Joyce Arnold Trammell of Jefferson. Mr. Evans was a graduate of Jefferson High School and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Joseph L. Trammell Jr., of Jefferson, sister, Julie Trammell Dixon, Jefferson, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and several cousins.

The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 4pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Patsy Garrett officiating. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens with Phillip Crumley, Brantley Crumley, Steve Satterfield, Gerald Standridge, Vince Snyder and Alan Turner honored as pallbearers. The Sons of Confederate Veterans will be honorary pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Saturday evening from 6-8pm at Evans Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sons of Confederate Veterans, SCV Camp 94, Jackson County Volunteers, 7882 Jefferson Road, Athens, GA 30607.
