John Travis (John T.) Chandler

Mr. John Travis "John T." Chandler, 68, of Gainesville, GA. passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 following a brief illness.

A lifetime resident of Hall County, he was the son of the late John A and Bessie Miller Chandler. He was a machinist with Reliance/Rockwell Automation. He was a member of Springway Baptist Church. In addition to his parents; he is preceded in death by a sisters, Jeanette Cain, Doris Chandler and brothers, Douglas Chandler and Marvin Chandler.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Chandler of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Edward Everette of Gainesville; son, John Robert "Robbie" Chandler of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Sharon Chandler of Gainesville; Harold and Delores Chandler of Flowery Branch; sister, Mildred Chandler of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Runette Chandler of Gainesville; grandson, Christopher Garbutt of Gainesville, granddaughters, Jessica Chandler of Gainesville, Kayla Garbutt of Gainesville, Jennifer Jordan of Gainesville; great grandson, Kasey Jordan of Gainesville; great granddaughter Joanna Sargent of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Springway Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Stone and Rev. Robert Whitehead will officiate. Interment will follow in Springway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
