Etheleen Ladd Davis

Mrs. Etheleen Ladd Davis, 85 of Chamblee died Wednesday February 13, 2013 at Peachtree Christian Hospice.

Born in Gainesville, Ga. March 10, 1927 Mrs. Davis had lived in Chamblee and Doraville for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Virgil S. and Trancy Lancaster Ladd. She was retired from Equifax and was a member of the Northwoods Baptist Church in Doraville.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; Raymond and Sharon Davis, Auburn; Richard and Leslie Davis, Milledgeville; grandchildren, Brian Davis, Corey Davis, Leah Gomez, great grandchild, Nathan Gomez; sisters, Doris Simmons, Gainesville; Margaret Selmon, Bonaire; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years John R. Davis , Jr., daughter, Peggy Davis, sisters, Dorothy Michaels, Eunice Seabolt; brothers, Clarence Ladd and Carlton Ladd.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday February 15, 2013 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Phillip McQueen will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday February 14, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.
