Janice Ward Ball

Mrs. Janice Ward Ball, 87 of Gainesville died Saturday February 9, 2013 at the New Horizons North Nursing Home.

Born in Saganaw, Michigan, Mrs. Ball had lived in Hall County since 1980. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Edith Fields Ward. She was a retired middle school biology teacher and was a member of the Gainesville First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; David W. and Phyllis Ball, Greenville, SC; Brian W. and Janice J. Ball, Oakwood; daughter, Christine Sullivan, Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Megan Sullivan, Conor Sullivan, Allison Ball, Michael Ball, Jonathan Ball, niece, Susan Wojtovich, Orlando, Florida; brother-in-law; Ercell Carley, Troy, Michigan.

Mrs. Ball is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Ball and a sister, Mildred Carley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 15, 2013 at the Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Dr. Terry Walton will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Friday February 15, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
