Jesse A. Sewell

Mr. Jesse A. Sewell age 82 of Oakwood passed away on Wednesday February 06, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday February 09, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Redwine United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Redwine United Methodist Church Cemetery. Dr. Mark Outlaw will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday February 08, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mr. Sewell was born on July 28, 1930 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Avon Garland Sewell and Mae Evans Sewell. He was retired from AT&T where he gave many years of service, after retiring there he went to work for Department of Natural Resources for the State of Georgia and also gave many years of service there. He was a member of Redwine United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.


Mr. Sewell is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sewell of Oakwood, daughter and son-in-law, Jeslyn and Greg Dockery of Cleveland, son and daughter-in-law, John and Renee Sewell of Braselton, grandchildren, Jed and Megan Dockery, Granddaughter and husband, Kalen and Dusty Porter.
