Frances Imojean Cato Reed

Mrs. Frances Imojean Cato Reed passed away and went home to be with her Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 after a long period of declining health.
Mrs. Reed graduated from Lyman Hall HighSchool where she was valedictorian of her class. She went on to graduate from Truett-McConnell College where she was pianist for the Touring choir and Boys' Quartet as well as a member of the Girls' Trio. She graduated from Brenau with her B.S. degree in English Education then went on to receive her Masters and Specialist Degrees from the University of Georgia. She love teaching. She spent a number of years in the Hall County School System and also was an instructor at Gainesville College.
Frances loved her church even more. She was organist as well as Choir Director for many years. She loved praising God with her music.
She loved her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She lad many happy experiences and times with them. She loved to read and enjoyed writing poetry. Her favorite topics were those found in nature and, of course, her family.
Frances' faith kept her strong. No matter what she had to go through, she always put herself "in God's Hands".
She leaves her loving husband, Gene Reed, their daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Philip Haag, and their son, Casey Reed. Emily Haag, Grace Haag, and Adia Reed are her grandchildren.
Mrs. Reed is preceded in death by her parents; Benjamin O. and Evelyn Smith Cato, brother, Benjamin O. Cato, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 9, 2013 at the Flowery Branch First United Methodist Church. Rev. Ed Dickens and Rev. Randy Walworth will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Friday February 8, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Flowery Branch First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 497, Flowery Branch, Ga., 30542.
