Charles H. Roland

Mr. Charles H. Roland, age 65, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Carl and Lucy Jane Roland; sisters, Burma Finch and Dean Free; and brothers, Clifford Roland, Calvin Roland, Cleveland Roland and Curtis Roland.

He is survived by his daughter, Crista and Robert Heagerty, Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Ella Heagerty and Reagan Heagerty; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Bob Williams, Commerce, GA, Joyce Acton, Cumming, GA and Jane Gibson, Cumming, GA; brother, Thomas C. Roland, Hoschton, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Roland was born May 5, 1947 in Buford, GA. He received his education from Duluth High School in Duluth, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of Cross Plains Baptist Church in Alpharetta, GA.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Plains Baptist Church, 6500 McGinnis Ferry Road, Alpharetta, GA 30005 with Rev. Johnny Purcell and Rev. Lamar Hansard officiating.

Interment will follow at Cross Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
