Toby Franklin House

Mr. Toby Franklin House age 74 of Lula, Ga passed away on Monday January 28, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.


Memorial services are scheduled for Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Scotty Poole will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 31, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday February 1st 2013 fom 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mr. House was born on June 22, 1938 in Gillsville, Georgia to the late Blanton Felix House and Maude Cagle House. He was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church, and he retired from General Motors where worked on the Assembly Line. He also served in the United States Marine Corp. Toby was much loved by his grandchildren and he enjoyed reading to them or just talking with them. He loved his Atlanta Braves Baseball and he believed in the Atlanta Falcons. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roy House, son, John Kevin Roberts, daughter, Donna Powers.


He is survived by his wife, Evelyn House of Lula, daughter and son-in-law, Karla Roberts Fleming (Kevin) of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, daughter, Melissa Roberts Summer of Dahlonega, son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Roberts (Nancy) of Lula, daughter-in-law, Connie Roberts of Maysville, brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Louise House of Gillsville, brother and sister-in-law, David and Frances House of Gainesville, brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Susie House of Gainesville, sister-in-law, Milford House of Gillsville, 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great- Grandchildren, 1 Great- Great- Grandchild, and many loving Nieces and Nephews.
