Margaret Ophelia Adams Jenkins

Mrs. Margaret Ophelia (Adams) Jenkins of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Northridge Hospital in Commerce, Georgia

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Maxey Ladd and Reverend Matt Wethington will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jenkins was born in 1926, Westminister, SC and was the daughter of the late Paul Adams and Lizzie (Walters) Adams. She grew up in the Chicopee Village Community and worked in the textiles and also at Southern Molding until she retired. She was a member of Riverbend Baptist Church. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Ernest (Pete) Jenkins; son-in-law, John Hahn, Jr. sister, Mildred Adams Clements; brothers, Maurice Adams and Melvin Adams.
Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jim Aulick of Buffalo, MN; daughter Robin Hahn of Lula, GA; sister and brothers-in-law, Muriel and Howard Eisenhauer of Bellevue, OH; Patsy and Almon McGehee of Gainesville, GA; and brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Colleen Adams of Chicopee as well as several nieces and nephews and their children.

She was a loving Mother, Sister and Wife and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We want to thank the staff of Southern Pines Assisted Living for the loving care they provided her in the past few months.
