Larry 'Bud' Stephens

Mr. Larry "Bud" Stephens age 67, of Murrayville, GA, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013.

A lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, Bud was a wonderful child of God, loved by many. He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Baptist Faith.

Bud was the son of the late Robert Lee "Bob" and Pauline Kanaday Stephens.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Tow Stephens, Dahlonega, GA; adopted son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Rick and Mary Lawing, Seneca, SC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara "Boots" and Dale Copeland, and Debra and David Weaver; nieces and nephews, Tim and Darren Copeland, Paige Ferrell, Amber Barrett, and Nicholas Weaver. Three grandchildren, several great nieces and nephews, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Bud are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2013 at Wahoo Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Rick Lawing and Rev. Les Fuller will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 4 PM until 9 PM Sunday, January 27, and 9 AM until 1 PM on Monday, January 28.
