Theodore "Ted" McIntyre

Theodore "Ted" McIntyre, age 67 of Oakwood, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Allen Passmore and Reverend Don Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 24, 2013 and Friday, January 25, 2013 from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM both nights.


Mr. McIntyre was born June 30, 1945 in Gainesville, GA to the late Hollis and Lillian Clark McIntyre. He served in the United States Army, was retired from LaFarge Concrete Company and was a member of South Hall Baptist Church. Mr. McIntyre was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy McIntyre.

Mr. McIntyre is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Sue McIntyre of Oakwood; daughter, Tammy Leach of Flowery Branch; daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Shawn Wilbanks of Oakwood; son, Christopher McIntyre of Atlanta; grandchildren, Ansley, Derick and Logan Leach; Austin and Justin Wilbanks; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Charlotte McIntyre of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Bobby Carter of Commerce and sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Mike Lingerfelt of Braselton.
