Lucille McCoy Wheeler

Mrs. Lucille McCoy Wheeler, age 85, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013.

Mrs. Wheeler was born in Banks County, on November 21, 1927 to the late Archie Broadus and Lillie Mae Eubanks McCoy. She was the widow of Charles P. Wheeler. In addition to her parentsand husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill McCoy, and E.B. "Mac" McCoy, and a sister, Sue Dobbins. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of Clarks Creek
Baptist Church and HM Stewart Pioneer Club. She was a retired Junior Revenue Accountant, with Standard Telephone Company with 40 years of service.

Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Robert T. "Bob" and Barbara McCoy, Mt. Airy; sisters-in-law, Kathleen McCoy, Cornelia, and
Geraldine McCoy, Lilburn; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. (note change below) on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel,
Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Hal Cason, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013, and noon until the funeral hour on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.

For those who are not able to make the visitation due to inclement weather we are moving the funeral to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, and prolonging the visitation on Saturday, from noon until the funeral hour.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Charity of one's choice.
