Mr. Sammy "Sam" Scott, age 71, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Sue Standridge Scott. He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Sara Mauldin Scott, Buford, GA; son, Mark Scott and Lisa Polke, Sugar Hill, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Helen Scott, Cornelia, GA; step daughter, Vickie L. Freece and husband, Alen, Melbourne Beach, FL; step grandchildren, Brett Freece and wife Lauren, Florida Keys; great granddaughter, Koral Freece; and nieces, Courtney Scott and Paige Scott.
Mr. Scott was born June 20, 1941 in Crawford, GA. He was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson High School and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was retired from Primex Plastic in Oakwood, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Mr. Aaron McHoney officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Gainesville, GA.
