Funeral Services for Mrs. Geraldine Rucker Tabor, 102 years-old, of Southfield, Michigan, formerly of Gainesville, Georgia, will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 1010 Mill Street, Gainesville, Georgia 30501. Rev. Rodney Lackey, Pastor/ Eulogist. Interment, Neal Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 900 Sims Bridge Road, Commerce, Georgia 30530. Wake Friday, January 18, 2013, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Mrs. Tabor was born May 10, 1910 to the late Dallas and Florence Rucker. On Sunday, January 13, 2013, the sun set on a life well lived.

Geraldine was joined in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Alonzo Tabor. To this union fourteen children were born. Six are deceased: Louise, Felton, Lola J., Carter K, Ed and Eddie Sue.

Surviving children include four daughters: Cassie Workings, Carrie Gray, Sue Willis and Margaret Reynolds all of Michigan; five sons: Jessie Tabor, North Carolina; J.D. Tabor, Michigan; Waymon, Dillard and Donnie Tabor of Georgia; twenty-nine grand children, eighty great-grandchildren; surviving sisters: Mrs. Sophia Curruth, Georgia; Mrs. Zurlee Davis and Mrs.Chester Fluellen of Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
