Bobby Eugene Mullins, Sr.

Bobby Eugene Mullins, Sr., 73, of Lula, Georgia, passed away on January 17, 2013. He was born on July 24, 1939, in Pike County, Kentucky, the son of the late George M. and Icey (Greer) Mullins.

In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Holifield Mullins, survivors include their 13 children: Linda Pidgeon, of Flat Rock, Michigan; Gary Mullins, of Homer, Georgia; Paul Mullins, of Orlando, Florida; Jimmy Mullins, of Oxford, Florida; Nina Wade, of Alto, Georgia; Candy Stapp, of Gillsville, Georgia; Sherry Dodd, of Homer, Georgia; Tina Black, of Gainesville, Georgia; Tricia Chitwood, of Lula, Georgia; Jessica Mullins, of Dallas, Texas; Mike Mullins, Penny Hunter, and Bobby Mullins, all of Lula, Georgia. Son-in-laws: Fredrick Pidgeon, Darryl Wade, Johnny Stapp, Kenneth Dodd, Chris Black, Clint Chitwood, and Mark Hunter. Daughter-in-laws: Shelia Mullins, Susie Mullins, and Erika Mullins. Survivors also include his 30 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as a brother, six sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by three grandchildren, one brother and one sister.

A memorial visitation with the family will be held at Gillsville Baptist Church in Gillsville, Georgia from 6-8pm on Saturday, January 19. Funeral services will be held at Dorton Creek Old Regular Baptist Church in Dorton, Kentucky, Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. and Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:00a.m. Burial to follow at Holifield Cemetery on Cabin Fork.
