Franklin "Frank" Wayne McConnell, Sr.

Franklin "Frank" Wayne McConnell, Sr., age 83 of Colbert, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Bell Minor Nursing Home.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Scotty Poole officiating.

Mr. McConnell was born April 5, 1929 in Hiawassee, GA to the late Ken McConnell and the late Mary Prather McConnell. He was a member of New Beginnings Worship in Danielsville. Mr. McConnell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary McClure McConnell; his children, Linda Grizzle, Mary Mull and Billy McConnell.

Mr. McConnell is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ella Mae and David Burnett of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Frank Anderson of Gainesville; son, Frank Wayne McConnell, Jr. of Gainesville; daughter, Doris Adamson of Ganinesville and daughter, Patricia Smith of Lula; 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
