Myral Waters Frasure

Mrs. Myral Waters Frasure, age 87, of Dahlonega, GA died peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2013, at her home with her family at her bedside.

Mrs. Frasure was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, a homemaker, and was of the Methodist faith. She worked at the Burlington Pine Tree Plant in Dahlonega for many years, and during WWII she worked in a shipyard in Brunswick, GA doing welding on war ships.

Myral was the daughter of the late Edgar and Lela Chester Waters and was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Frasure; sister, Opal Southern; brothers, Carlton Waters and Clayton Waters; granddaughter, Stephanie Helton; and son-in-law, Frank Smith.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Don and Tara Waters, Dahlonega, GA and David Holtzclaw, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte Smith, Lilburn, GA, Wanda and Leon Gilleland, Lilburn, GA; brothers, Ralph Waters, Gainesville, GA, Joe Waters, Kenneth Waters, and Wade Waters, all of Dahlonega, GA; sister, Susie Kinnard, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Donna Mauro, Andrea Barber, Brad Smith, Caron Anderson, Dustin Gilleland, and Rachel Miniscalco; caregiver, Frances Whitehead. 10 great-grandchildren and a large number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frasure are scheduled for 11 AM Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 5 PM until 8 PM.
