Rev. S. Ellis Taff

Rev. S. Ellis Taff, 76, of Suwanee, GA went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2013. Born in Columbus, GA he was the son of the late Curtis and Mary-Lou Taff.

Rev. Taff was pastor of Vienna Baptist Church in the Vienna, GA for a number of years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Vienna, GA and the Kiwanis Club of Waynesboro. He served as clerk of the Macon Baptist Association for 15 years and was actively involved in Builders for Christ in Macon. Since moving to the Suwanee, Rev. Taff has been an associate member of Johns Creek United Methodist Church.

Rev. Taff is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Ryals Taff of Suwanee, GA; son, Gordon Ellis (Michele) Taff of Barnesville, GA; daughter, Cindy Taff (Brent) Weatherford of Cumming, GA; brother, Donald M. (Betty) Taff of Nazareth, PA; sisters, Annette (Bobby) Sanders of Alpharetta, GA, Brenda Lou (Reid) Buckelew of Covington, GA and Rebecca (Danny) Stanley of Marietta, GA; much-loved grandchildren, Randy, John Ryan and Ashley Holliday, Brandon, Christina, Catie Jean and Blake Lee Taff Weatherford; and great-grandchildren, Christian Brinkerhoff and Emma Grace and Chloe Holliday.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Johns Creek United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Macon Baptist Association, 3396 Napier Avenue, Macon, Macon, GA 31204 or the Johns Creek United Methodist Church Building Fund/Hymnals, 11180 Medlock Bridge Road, Johns Creek, GA 30097.
