Mary J. Morrison

Mrs. Mary J. Barrett Morrison age 93 of Dahlonega passed away on Thursday January 10, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Phil Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday January 11, 2013 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Music will be provided by Shane and Sandy Savage.


Mrs. Morrison was born on November 09, 19919 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Benjamin Cleveland Barrett and Cynthia Bale Newberry Barrett. She was a housewife and was a member of Gainesville Church of God. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James Ernest Barrett, Arthur Daniel Barrett, and Clearence Thomas Barrett.


Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband, Rafe Leonard Morrison of Dahlonega, sister, Annie Corrine William of Macon, brother, Herman Lee Barrett of Lula, and a number of nieces and nephews.


The family would also like to give a special thanks to Rescare Home Health and Halcyon Hospice care for the generosity and concern they have shown during this difficult time.
