Edna Childress Brownlow

Mrs. Edna Childress Brownlow age 86 of New Holland passed away on Wednesday January 09, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday January 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Paul Youngblood will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday January 12, 2013 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brownlow was born on May 20, 1926 in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Henry L. Childress and Vertie Shelton Childress. She retired from Pacolet Manufacturing as an Engineer and was a member of New Holland Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William F. Brownlow, brother, Henry Childress.

Mrs. Brownlow is survived by her son, James Brownlow of Murrayville, grandson and wife, Jason and Christine Brownlow of Charlotte, North Carolina, grandchildren, Cameron and Lillian Brownlow of Charlotte, North Carolina, sister, Lois Williams of Burgaw, North Carolina, brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Evelyn Childress of Lynch Station, Virginia, brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Sylvia Childress of Lynch Station, Virginia, brother and sister-in-law, Rudolph "Rudie" and Betty Childress of Gainesville.
