Daryl Leland Hoh

Mr. Daryl Leland Hoh, age 74 of Demorest, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 09, 2013 at the Habersham Medical Center.

Born in Appleton, Wisconsin on August 09, 1938, Daryl was a son of the late Leland & Gladys Glasier Hoh. He was a United States Army veteran, having proudly served his country in Military Intelligence. Mr. Hoh was heavily involved in mission work for many years, helping train pastors around the world with Faith Life Ministries. He enjoyed living in Georgia for the last 20 years and was also the CEO of Caleb Consulting for the last 8 years. Mr. Hoh enjoyed sailing and was an avid Civil War enthusiast. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and was a member of The Highlands United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Georgia.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Karen Toncre Hoh, Demorest, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn & James Frericks, Ponte Vedra, FL; Mary Elizabeth & Rev. Mike Thomas, Mt. Airy, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Eric & Jill Hoh, Phoenix, Arizona; brother & sister-in-law, LaVahn & Mary Frances Hoh, Louisa, Virginia; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Rev. Westley & Esther Toncre, Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, SGT. Nathan Shaffer, Ryan Shaffer, Lauren Shaffer, Erin Shaffer, Colin Shaffer, Ian Shaffer, Matthew Hoh, Jordan Hoh, Erica Hoh, Emily Thomas, Spencer Thomas, Gracen Thomas, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

A memorial service celebrating Daryl's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at The Highlands United Methodist Church, 3678 Cleveland Highway, Gainesville, GA 30506 with the Rev. Jeff Coleman officiating.

The Hoh family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday.
