Mildred Littleton Rogers

Mildred Littleton Rogers, 90, of Dillard, passed away January 4, 2013 at her residence, with her family at her side.

Mildred was the daughter of the late Fred S. Littleton Sr. and Lucy Gregory Littleton and was reared in Macon County, North Carolina. Affectionately known as "Mickey," she was the loving wife of Carl N. Rogers for 68 years. Mickey was the Trailways Bus Company agent in Clayton for 30 years, and also worked alongside her husband all that time at his Allstate Insurance agency. She took pride in her family and her home. She taught Sunday school at Head of Tennessee Baptist Church for many years. After retiring, Mickey and Carl traveled the world, visiting 17 different countries.

Mickey was preceded in death by her parents and two infant children.

She is survived by her husband; one son Patrick W. Rogers of Dillard; one brother Fred Littleton Jr. of Clinton, Ohio; one sister Patricia Beck of Marianna, Florida; one grandson Jason P. Rogers of Mount Vernon, Washington. Six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Beck Funeral Home. Services will follow in the Chapel of Beck Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Rev Doug Porter and Rev. Jack Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in The Head of Tennessee Baptist Church cemetery.
