Clara Elaine Westmoreland Dover

Mrs. Clara Elaine Westmoreland Dover age 75 of Gainesville passed away on Friday December 28, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday December 30, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 29, 2012 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mrs. Dover was born on April 13, 1937 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late John Wilbur Westmoreland and Clara Mae Howard Westmoreland. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church; she worked at Gainesville Manufacturing as a training instructor and then went to work at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for 7 years where she retired. She is preceded in death by her father, brother, John Westmoreland and Vaughn Westmoreland, sisters, Margaret Fuller and Ann Collins.


She is survived by her husband, Eugene Dover of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Marvin Carlan of Alto, mother, Clara Mae Westmoreland of Clermont, son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Mary Dover of Dallas, Georgia, grandsons, Michael Thompson of Atlanta, Brandon Dover of Gainesville, Jonathan Dover of Oakwood, Tommy Dover II of Gainesville, great-grandsons, Hunter and Tanner Dover both of Gainesville, brother, Dale Westmoreland of Cleveland, sister, Carol Westmoreland of Clermont.
