John A. Cahill

John A. Cahill, 69, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday December 26, 2012.

Born January 16, 1943 in Kinston, NC to the late John A.,Sr. and Marjorie Cahill, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 10 years having moved from Homestead, FL. Mr. Cahill was a Systems Technician with BellSouth and retired following 39 years of service. He spent 30 of his early years in Peabody, MA where he graduated from Boston College High School. John was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran as was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Judith Cahill, Dawsonville; sons and daughters in law, Jim and Becky Cahill, Cumming, Brian and Jessica Cahill, Miami, FL; sisters, Rosemary Gryniewicz, Windham, NH, Elizabeth Brancaleone, Glouster, MA; brothers, Richard Cahill, Newburyport, MA, Daniel Cahill, Homosassa, FL; grandchildren, Jimmy, Ryan, Jace, Ella, Ariana, and Jason.

A funeral mass will be held Monday December 31, 2012 at 11 o'clock at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Higgins will officiate.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church Building Fund, 993 Kilough Church Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
