Foster Lionel Potts

Foster Lionel Potts, of Cumming, GA, age 88, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2012. F.L. retired after 28 years of service from Georgia Power and was the owner of F.L. Potts Appliance Service, a member of the Lions Club, an avid hunter, a member of the Sawnee Hunting Club, the V.F.W. and a U.S. Army veteran. He served in the Philippines during WWII. He was also a member of Cumming Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Robbie Jean Potts.



Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis Potts Bailey; grandchildren, Gretchen Bailey Christy of Cumming, Kevin and Caitlin Bailey of Lakeland, FL, Bryan and Staci Bailey of Cumming; great grandchildren, Katelyn Bailey McAlister, Carley Brookins Bailey, Ansley Duncan Bailey, Cayden Mackenzie Bailey, Chase Mack Bailey, Kacen Foster Bailey; sister, Eleanor Potts Jackson of Jefferson, Richard Dwight Potts of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Joseph Malcolm Potts of Conley, GA and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Cumming Baptist Church with Dr. Barry Crocker officiating. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m.
