James Henry "Buck" Berry

Obituary Date: Tuesday, December 25, 2012

Mr. James Henry "Buck" Berry, age 62, of Dahlonega, GA, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Atlanta VA Medical Center.

"Buck" was born in Hall County and had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 20 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a truck driver for R.C. Grizzle Trucking Company. "Buck" had also attended mechanic's school, and was of the Baptist Faith.

"Buck" was the son of the late Timothy and Loyce Austin Berry, and was also preceded in death by his sons, Michael Shane and Jason Scott Berry; and brothers, Harold and Ray Berry.

He is survived by his companion, Helen Norsworthy; sons and daughters-in-law, James Larry "Jimbo" and Paula Berry and James Lee and Christy Payne Berry; step-sons, Clinton and Tony Norsworthy; step-daughter, Tamika Norsworthy all of Dahlonega, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Wanda Berry of Canton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Geraldine and Winford Puckett, Cumming, GA; Barbara and Bobby Kimbrell, Canton, GA; and Faye Martin, Toccoa, GA. 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for "Buck" are scheduled for 1 PM Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Glendon Williams and Pastor Ray Berry will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Nimblewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Thursday, December 27 from 2 PM until 9 PM, and Friday, December 28 from 9 AM until service time.
