Martha Sue Owens

Mrs. Martha Sue Owens, age 66, of Gainesville joined Jesus to celebrate his Birthday on Monday, December 24, 2012.

Funeral Services will be 3:30 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012 from the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Alex Schmiditze & Rev. Tim Payne will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mrs. Owens was born October 8, 1946 to Nellie Payne and the late Robert Lee Payne of Hall County and was a member of the Free Chapel. She is survived by her husband, Elvis "Ed" Owens, Jr. of Hall County; daughter, Lynn Wiggins of Gainesville; daughters & sons-in-law, Pennie & Mark Gable of Bartlett, Tennessee and Amanda & Shawn Gibson of Biloxi, Mississippi; grandchildren, Tyler & Lauren Gable of Gainesville, Aliyah Gibson of Gates, North Carolina, Ashlie Gibson of Gates, North Carolina, Courtney Gable of Bartlett, Tennessee; two great-grandchildren, Shawn Anthony & Bailee Machelle of Gates, North Carolina; brothers & sisters-in-law, James & Millie Payne of Hiawassee, Benny & Judy Payne of Athens, and Tim & Sharon Payne of Palmetto; sister & brother-in-law, Joyce & Raymond Bell of Demorest; many nieces & nephews that she loved dearly; stepchildren & family, Marie & Wes Nolan of Jasper, Faye & Alex Schmidtze of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Andrea & Johnny Smith of Banks County; and grandchildren, Katie Nolan, Kasy Nolan, Kristopher Nolan, Taylor Smith & Samantha Smith.
