Rachel Marie Rice Hunter, 67, of Gainesville Georgia, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 At Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

She was employed at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for 28 years.

Services will be held Saturday, December 29, at Memorial Park North Funeral Home on Riverside Drive in Gainesville. Visitation is 1:30 to 3:30 with memorial service at 3:30. Visitation will resume after the service.

Rachel was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL. She graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1963. Later she went on to graduate from the University of Alabama with her BSN in nursing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell F Hunter (Mike), and her father Charles E. Rice, Jr.

Survivors include her three children; Colby (Tiffany), and Chad Hunter and Ceslie Patterson (Chad). Her three grandchildren, Meredith, Donovain and Kameron. Her mother Mabel Rice, sister Susan Moore, brothers Buddy (Jackie) and Floyd (Jutta Beams) Rice.
