Melvin Shane Stephens

Funeral services for Melvin Shane Stephens, age 46, of Clarkesville will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 24, 2012 from the Hollywood Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Tanner and Pastor Don Samples will officiate with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mr. Stephens died Friday, December 21, 2012.

Born October 15, 1966, Shane was the son of Melvin Stephens and Barbara Alexander Stephens. He was a lifelong resident of Habersham County and was of the Baptist faith. Shane was self-employed with Stephens and Son Farm.

Survivors include his father Melvin Stephens of Clarkesville, mother Barbara Alexander Stephens of Clarkesville, daughters Kirsten Stephens and Chelsey Stephens and son Keaton Stephens all of Clarkesville, sisters Kellie Barrs (Brian) of Mt. Airy and Contessa Plant (Jantzen) of Clarkesville, and brother Matt Stephens of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
